Man Convicted Of Drug-Induced Homicide That Killed Naperville Man
Liszka was found guilty of felony drug-induced homicide in the 2015 death of Marcus Penton, of Naperville.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Melrose Park man has been found guilty of drug-induced homicide in the 2015 death of a 25-year-old Naperville man. The jury convicted Kevin Liszka, 34, after a three-day trial that wrapped up with the conviction Friday.
Police say Marcus Penton died on February 19, 2015, after he was given a fatal dose of heroin by his friend, Skyler Sabala, who purchased the drugs from Liszka. Sabala pleaded guilty in October 2016 and is currently serving 7 years in prison for delivery of a controlled substance.
DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin thanked the jurors for "holding Mr. Liszka responsible" for the role he played in Penton's death. Berlin said, "This case demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement professionals to ferret out the drug dealers who have caused this drug epidemic and in doing so enriched their own lives while others pay with theirs."
