Man Sues Over Car Accident that Allegedly Killed Mom

A man is seeking $50,000 plus court costs from a driver he claims caused an accident that resulted in injuries to his mother, which led to her death.
Douglar Bair filed a complaint Aug. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court, Law Division, against Alafia Nomani, citing negligence as the reason.
According to the complaint as reported by the Cook County Record, Dorothy Lineback was a passenger in a vehicle traveling northbound on Route 59 in Aurora near the Westfield Fox Valley Mall.

Nomani was allegedly traveling southbound on Route 59 when he attempted to make a left-hand turn onto eastbound La Fox Avenue. According to the article, Nomani was at a red light when he attempted to make the turn, colliding with the front end of the car, injuring Lineback.
Nomani allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout, was speeding, failed to yield the right of way, failed to obey the traffic signal and other negligent acts, according to the article.
