Man Who Sold Fatal Heroin Shot To Naperville Man Gets 18 Years
He was convicted of selling a dose of heroin that killed a man in 2015.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Melrose Park man has been sentenced to 18 years for drug-induced homicide in the death of a Naperville man. In March, a jury convicted Kevin Liszka, 34, of delivering a fatal dose of heroin to Marcus Penton, 26, in 2015.
Penton died on February 19, 2015, after taking a fatal dose of heroin. An investigation led police to pinpoint Skyler Sabala as the suspect who provided Penton with the heroin. Sabala pleaded guilty in 2016 and was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Police were eventually led to Liska as the person who dealt the drugs to Sabala.

DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said, "To date this year, DuPage County has suffered thirty-one overdose deaths. With this case, and today’s sentencing, we are again sending the message to drug dealers that if you provide illegal drugs that lead to the death of another person, you will face a significant amount of time in the penitentiary."
Liszka must serve 75% of his 18-year sentence before he is eligible for parole.
