Naperville Activist Expo Set For Sept. 9

Congressional, gubernatorial candidates slated to attend.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Friends Who March will host an Activist Expo from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9. The free event, which will be held at DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church, 1828 Old Naperville Road, is designed to inform and encourage Illinoisans about ways they can “Get Active and Take Action."

During the expo, attendees will have the opportunity to visit more than 35 booths featuring both local organizations and political candidates from across Illinois.

Organizers said several candidates from the 6th Congressional District are expected to be in attendance, as well as Scott Drury and Tio Hardiman, two of the Democratic gubernatorial candidates.

“This is a one-stop shop for people who were ‘woken’ by President Trump’s election and want to do something, anything, to get our country on the right track," Jax West, President and Founder of Friends Who March, said in a news release. "The Activist Expo has a wide range of organizations and candidates to check out to see what’s right for you."
