Naperville-Based Food Truck Fighting Cubs 'Curse' by Serving Goat

A business owner placed a curse on the Cubs when he was not allowed to bring his goat into a game.

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's possible that a Naperville-based food truck will lift a supposed curse on the Chicago Cubs by putting goat on the menu, but in the meantime, they also want to offer good food.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Sam Sianis, owner of the Billy Goat Tavern, cursed the team when he was not allowed to bring his goat to a game in the Cubs’ last World Series in 1945.

Husband and wife team LaTasha and Steven Garcia decided to offer goat tacos on their food truck, The Cookout on Wheels, “to celebrate the Cubs making it this far in the playoffs,” according to the report.

Although they have served goat before in stews, this time they’re preparing a whole goat with plans to serve it in tacos.

"It's a chance for him to combine his goat skills with his smoker skills," LaTasha Garcia said in the article.

So, will offering goat help lift the curse? Only time will tell.
