Naperville Born Artists Return as Juried Artists in 13th Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts

Naperville born artists Jacquelin Bevan and Peter Thaddeus return as juried artists to the 13th Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts. The official hours for the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts, located on Broadway Ave. from Belmont Ave. north to Hawthorne St., are Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. with additional hours for live music, food and drink tents until 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Jacquelin Bevan specializes in collage created with multiple layers of handmade paper, magazine text, acrylic paint, and mica flake. The edges of the canvas are wrapped with velvet ribbon. She finds constant inspiration from nature, with most of her works depicting various birds, often contrasting their natural colors with unique backgrounds. Peter Thaddeus uses acrylic paints on canvas, applying them with soft bristle brushes in thin layers in order to create a smooth finished look. His colorful paintings often depict iconic Chicago destinations and structures combined with natural scenery. His work can be viewed at http://www.thaddeusart.com/.

The 2017 Lakeview East Festival of the Arts showcases more than 150-juried artists featuring world-class original paintings, sculpture, photography, furniture, jewelry and more. In addition to the diverse artists’ booths, the Festival also includes live music on multiple stages, an interactive children’s area, wine, beer and food booths, an interactive garden oasis and much more.

Lakeview East Festival of the Arts asks for a $5 donation upon entrance.
