Naperville Business Fails Tobacco Compliance Checks
A citation was given to the business for selling tobacco to a person under 18.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville business failed a recent round of tobacco compliance checks performed by the Naperville Police Department.
Of the 70 businesses that were checked, the BP Amoco, located at 2888 Book Rd., was the only one to fail, according to a release from the Naperville Police Department. A city ordinance citation was given for selling tobacco to a person under the age of 18.
The compliance checks are performed to determine if local tobacco retailers are complying with the minimum-age tobacco laws which prohibit the sale of tobacco to persons under the age of 18.

All tobacco retailers are given an education packet and are notified that the tobacco checks are going to occur in the near future.
