Naperville Cops Arrest 5, Ticket 36 During July 4 Crackdown

Naperville police increased patrols from June 19 through July 6 as part of its annual Fourth of July crackdown.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police arrested five people and ticketed 36 during its recent Fourth of July crackdown.

The 36 tickets were all issued for seatbelt violations, according to police. Police say the following arrests were made amid increased patrols between June 19 and July 6:

  • 1 driver arrested for impaired driving
  • 2 drivers arrested for not having a valid driver's license
  • 1 person arrested for possession of a controlled substance and illegal transportation of cannabis

The Fourth of July crackdown was part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.
