NAPERVILLE, IL -- Naperville Crime Stoppers has recently expanded the focus of its crime tip hotline to include a way to report animal abuse and neglect in the city. Crime Stoppers made the announcement on their Facebook page Friday that they're hoping to put more focus on the animal abuse tip line, which was added in August 2018.

In a post on social media, Crime Stoppers officials said the animal abuse tip line "allows residents to speak up anonymously for those who don’t have voices of their own." Callers can dial in to 630-420-6006 to report animals that have been left outside or otherwise neglected, along with incidences of animal abuse and dog fighting, or other acts.

Those who leave a tip with the Crime Stoppers Animal Abuse line remain anonymous and have a chance to earn a reward of $1000 for information that leads to an arrest.
