Naperville Dandelion Pull Set for May 17 at Knoch Park

Volunteers will pull dandelions at one of Naperville Park District's earth-friendly parks

The community is invited to join volunteers from NonToxic Naperville and the Midwest Pesticide Action Center for a Dandelion Pull at Knoch Park on Thursday, May 17 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Games, fun, food and refreshments will be included. Knoch Park is located at 724 S. West St.

“The Naperville Park District started managing 8 organic parks, so we want to show our appreciation,” said Ryan Anderson, representative from the Midwest Pesticide Action Center. The Naperville Dandelion Pull is part of Chicago Grows Green Week (May 11-19), a week of educational activities promoting landscape maintenance without synthetic chemicals.

Knoch Park is one of eight parks, along with all playgrounds, which the Park District is maintaining with natural and organic products over a two-year period.
