Naperville Deploys More Than 100 Plows To Manage Snowfall
As the winter storm continues, residents are advised to postpone "non-essential travel."

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville officials say contractors are working diligently to execute cleanup during Friday's ongoing winter storm. More than 100 plows have been deployed to manage the extreme snow accumulation throughout the city. As the storm continues, city officials have advised residents to avoid "non-essential travel."
Snow crews will tackle the main roads first and then move on to side streets and residential areas. Officials say dozens of contractors are tackling the snow accumulation on courts and cul de sacs.
Right now our crews are plowing main streets through subdivisions. Next, they'll work on residential and side streets, then head back to the main arterial roads in the city. Snow is expected to subside around 10 a.m. Crews will continue working around the clock. pic.twitter.com/xjVV7RW3Lj

Residents are asked to give plows "ample room to conduct their operations" and clear a three foot perimeter around fire hydrants. The city also urges residents to check on their neighbors and see if they need assistance with snow shoveling.
