Naperville To Do Maintenance Work On Warning Sirens
Residents are advised not to be alarmed if they hear warning sirens going off.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Residents in Naperville should expect to hear warning sirens going off during the week of Oct. 15 as crews perform maintenance work and tests on warning sirens throughout the city. City officials are advising residents not to be alarmed if they hear the sirens going off during this time.
According to a press release, the company that manages the warning system will activate each of the 25 sirens individually to make sure they are working properly. The sirens are used to warn residents in case of tornadoes and other severe weather events.
The warning siren tests will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and are expected to wrap up on Oct. 19.
