Naperville Fire Dept. earns Edward's "Run of the Quarter" award

The "Run of the Quarter" for April-June 2017 has been awarded to the Naperville Fire Department's Station 10 and Truck 5.

Edward Hospital’s EMS (Emergency Medical Services) “Run of the Quarter” for April-June 2017 has been awarded to the Naperville Fire Department’s Station 10 and Truck 5. Fire Department personnel were recognized for the care they provided to a patient who had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The patient was taken to Edward Hospital where he later passed away, but not before his family authorized a donation to the Gift Of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network.

“We commend the members of the Naperville Fire Department, Medic 10 and Truck 5, for your collaborative effort along with the Naperville Police Department,” says Bill Kottmann, President & CEO, Edward Hospital. “We are proud to partner with such skilled and compassionate men and women who serve our community. Your excellent work in the field and dedication to patient care is greatly appreciated.”

In the “Run of the Quarter” program, the Edward EMS Team reviews ambulance runs by pre-hospital providers and selects one to be recognized every three months based on the following criteria:
