Naperville Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

The robbery took place in the 1700 block of S. Washington.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- A gas station in Naperville was robbed at gunpoint early Monday, according to police. Police say the incident took place just after 4 a.m. in the 1700 block of S. Washington.

The victim told police that two male suspects came into the gas station at 4:15 a.m. and that one of the men had a handgun. After taking cash the men reportedly fled from the scene.

Police did not indicate that there was any danger to the public. In an alert about the incident, city officials reminded residents that if they encounter an armed person they should "comply with all demands and not do anything that would jeopardize [their] personal safety."
