NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Heritage Society recently received an $18,000 grant from DuPage Foundation. The society was one of just 36 local non-profits to receive a grant via DuPage Foundation's Fall Community Needs Grant Program.

The Heritage Society plans to use the grant money to launch a virtual field trip series at Naper Settlement. Naper Settlement plans to convert many of its in-person field trips to virtual field trips.

Among these are "Living History," "History Station" and "Voices of the Past: The Underground Railroad In Illinois." The virtual field trips will include recordings, photographs and real-time experiences, according to a news release.
