Naperville Home Destroyed In Fire That Claimed Life Of Pet Dog

NAPERVILLE, IL — A family is mourning the loss of their dog after a fire that broke out in their home in the 100 block of Tupelo Monday afternoon. Fire officials say none of the family members were home at the time of the fire, which left their residence uninhabitable.

Firefighters got to the scene around 2 p.m. to find smoke coming from the roof of the bi-level house. They were able to isolate the fire to its source in the kitchen and extinguish it.

Naperville Fire Department officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
