Naperville House Fire Sends 1 To Hospital
Fire officials had to help one person who was still inside the home when they arrived.
NAPERVILLE, IL — One person was taken to the hospital early Sunday after they were rescued from a fire in the 800 block of North Main Street in Naperville. Fire officials say the blaze was broke out in the basement of a split level home just before 9:45 a.m.
When firefighters got to the scene, two residents had evacuated the home and a third was still inside. Fire crews were able to get the person safely out of the first floor of the home. They were taken to a local hospital to be evaluated and treated.
The other two residents, in addition to two Naperville police officers, were evaluated at the scene and released. Firefighters also rescued several pets from the home, though one pet was still not located.

The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes, but the residents were unable to return to the home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
