NAPERVILLE, IL — JCI World President Pachal Dike plans to attend the Naperville Jaycees “Bids For Beads” Mardi Gras Celebration on Friday, Feb. 19 at White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville. The Mardi Gras Celebration is just one of three stops for President Paschal during his visit to Chicago from Nigeria.

The Naperville Jaycees will once again be providing the public with a “Taste of Bourbon Street”, when they transform White Eagle Golf Club’s main ballroom into a New Orleans themed celebration. In addition to fun, the Naperville Jaycees will be providing Cajun inspired heavy appetizers, drink tickets, games, themed character actors, dancing to the live musical stylings of Love & Money, and a chance to bid on exciting Silent and Live Auction Items.

During his visit, the public is invited to attend a Peace Is Possible Forum being held on Saturday Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Holiday Inn Elk Grove located at 1000 Busse Rd. The purpose of the JCI Peace is Possible Campaign is to mobilize young people worldwide to create awareness, advocate, take action and commit to an everlasting world peace. The campaign will work to build a coalition of like-minded stakeholders from all sectors of society that are committed to the purpose. JCI President Dike will provide a keynote speech. In addition, there will be a workshop to develop sustainable solutions for building peace in our own community.

“The peace that eludes the world today is man-made,” said JCI President Paschal Dike. “If this is true, then the Peace is Possible campaign wakes our consciousness to the fact that it will also take man-made actions to restore peace if we just act. “

Dike’s visit to United States will be one of approximately 50 countries he will visit during his one year term of office. He will preside over the JCI World Congress being held in Quebec, Canada Oct. 30 to Nov. 4. Dike holds a master’s degree in industrial microbiology and is also the Principal/CEO of Seal and Signature, a fire protection and security systems company, a trainer and coach and holds business interests in pharmaceuticals.
