Naperville Man Charged With Slamming Door On Firefighter
Police say the man was "highly intoxicated" when emergency responders came to the door.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- A Naperville man has been charged with felony aggravated battery after he allegedly slammed a front door on a firefighter multiple times while "highly intoxicated," according to Naperville police. Philip John Lewandowski, 40, of the 300 block of Elmwood Ave., was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer on Oct. 11 in connection with the incident.
Police say they were responding to a call at a home in the 1300 block of Aurora Ave. when Lewandowski slammed the door on an emergency technician's foot "repeatedly." Lewandowski was reportedly taken into custody and held on $3,000 bond, which he posted.
