After a night of drinking you need to get some rest, and a 26-year-old Naperville man allegedly thought a Naperville Fire Department was just the ticket.
The Daily Herald reports that Zachary Long, of the 500 block of Big Horn Road, has been charged with criminal trespassing to real property and criminal damage to property. A judge set his bail at $1,500 and Long posted $150 and was released Saturday.
Naperville Deputy Fire Chief Andrew Dina told the Daily Herald that had received a call from his overnight captain regarding the intruder.

“He told me they woke up to discover a male in his mid-20s sleeping in one of the recliners in the living quarters,” Dina told the Herald. “They attempted to wake the guy up, but he was incoherent and vomiting on the floor, so they put him in an ambulance and took him to Edward (Hospital).”
Once Long was released from the hospital after being treated for possible alcohol poisoning, police took him into custody.

Dina said there were no signs of forced entry at the department, located at 1380 Aurora Ave.
“He might have just stumbled around until he found an open door. We don’t know,” Dina told the Herald. “The police are investigating and the city’s building department is inspecting all of our interior and exterior security doors to ensure they are functioning properly.”
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
