Naperville Man Found Guilty of Stealing Money from Friend, Former Mentor
The 53 year old stole nearly $225,000.

A Naperville man was found guilty for reportedly stealing money from a friend and former mentor.
Robert J. Loncar, 53, of the 2900 block Stonewater Drive, was found guilty of financial exploitation of an elderly or disabled person, theft by deception, wire fraud and a security violations.
Loncar had known the victim since he was a boy, according to the Chicago Tribune, and kept that friendship through the years. Loncar began preparing the victim’s tax returns and in 2011 convinced the victim to invest his money in securities. He then moved nearly $225,000 from the victim’s IRA "to a self-directed IRA, which gave Loncar the authority to move or withdraw money," according to the report.
