Naperville Murder Remains Unsolved After Four Years
Naperville police are still looking for leads in the murder of Matthew Lange, who was gunned down outside his son's school in 2017.

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's been four years since Matthew Lange was shot to death as he waited for his 4-year-old son to get out of Polish class. Still, Naperville police are searching for answers in what was the city's first murder in years.
Lange's 2017 death was the first murder in Naperville since 2014 and has remained the first unsolved murder in the city in decades.
Lange, 37, a professor at Lewis University, was sitting in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra in the parking lot of Scullen Middle School around 7 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2017, when he was shot multiple times.

Police ruled that Lange's murder was not a random act.
Naperville Police are offering a reward of $45,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with Lange's murder. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Naperville Police Department at 630-305-5453.
