The Naperville Noon Lions concluded its 2019 annual summer raffle with the drawing of the winning tickets over the Labor Day weekend. Over 3,800 tickets where sold. Naperville Police Chief Robert Marshall was on hand to draw the winning tickets. The grand prize this year was $5,000. Other prizes totaled $4,000. This years grand prize winner was 40-year Naperville resident Barbara Reynolds. She has been supporting the Naperville Noon Lions for many years and was very surprised to learn she had won this year. Ms. Reynolds stated she is going to donate half of the grand prize back to the Lions in support of their programs and use the half to make some repairs and updates to her home.

Proceeds from this year's raffle will go to support the Naperville Lions Social Service Programs, which includes providing eye examination, eye glasses and hearing screenings at no cost to individuals that cannot afford this type of services, along with research and education grants related to vision and hearing issues. In the past fiscal year 325 individuals where provided vision and hearing services at a cost to the Lions of approximately $110,000.

Lion Ken Strugalla stated this year's raffle was another huge success thanks to all that participated in the raffle. In addition, the Lions want to thank our partners, Casey's Market, Ace Hardware on Washington Street and Naper Blvd and U.S. Bank Naperville who allowed us to sell raffle tickets at their locations.
