Naperville Park District Appoints New Police Chief
Steve Schindlbeck will be sworn in on June 15 at Rotary HIll, weather permitting.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Park District has appointed a new police chief to replace former Park Police Chief Carl Schnibben, who retired in April. Steve Schindlbeck will be sworn in as new park police chief on June 15 at 9 a.m. at Rotary Hill, if weather permits.
Schindlbeck joins the park district with more than three decades of police experience. Most recently, he served as Patrol Commander with the Naperville Police Department, according to park district officials.
Schindlbeck also served as Deputy Emergency Manager for the City of Naperville and on the Illinois Terrorism Task Force. He has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Aurora University.

Schindlbeck said in a statement, "I’m looking forward to learning more about the role of the Park Police within both the city and county jurisdictions."
