Naperville Park District Responds to Governor’s Executive Order

Playgrounds and golf courses join list of District facility closures and program cancellations

In response to Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order issued March 20 for Illinois residents to “shelter in place,” the Naperville Park District has expanded its list of facility closures to include Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses and all Park District playgrounds and park restrooms across the community. These facilities will be closed to public use effective immediately.

The District’s 136 parks will remain open and residents are encouraged to use them as places to enjoy some fresh air, a walk and some overall wellness, provided visitors practice social distancing and do not gather in groups.

Park District spring programs, events and volunteer opportunities scheduled to take place through April 7 have been cancelled. The District will attempt to reschedule programs/events or issue refunds for classes impacted by these closures/cancellations.
