Commissioners Bobby Carlsen and Mike King take oath; District recognizes former commissioners Gerry Heide and Kirsten Young

The Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners welcomed two new commissioners and recognized two outgoing commissioners at their May 11 meeting at the Naperville Municipal Center.

Circuit Judge Paul Fullerton of the 18th Judicial Circuit of DuPage County attended the meeting to administer the oath of office to the incoming commissioners. Bobby Carlsen and Mike King were sworn in to begin their four-year terms on the Park Board. Both are long-term residents of Naperville with enthusiasm for the Park District and the desire to give back to their community. Incumbents Mike Reilly and Bill Eagan also were sworn in to continue their service on the Park Board. Carlsen, King, Reilly and Eagan were elected to office in the April 4, 2017 consolidated election.

Former Commissioners Gerry Heide and Kirsten Young were recognized by Vice President Mike Reilly for their contributions to the Board over the past nine and eight years, respectively.
