Naperville Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle
He was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 75th Street and College Road early Sunday morning, and died later of his wounds.

NAPERVILLE, IL -- The Naperville Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that took place around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday morning. The accident resulted in the death of a pedestrian, according to a Naperville Police Department press release.
Naperville police and fire responded to the area of 75th Street and College Road, where a vehicle struck a pedestrian, who was identified as Richard Schnittker, 21, of unincorporated Naperville. The fire department transported him to Edward Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the 2010 Mitsubishi, an Aurora man, was uninjured in the crash.

Police closed down westbound 75th Street between Ranchview Drive and Wehrli during their investigation. The road was closed for several hours, according to the press release, while crash reconstruction experts investigated the scene. They found that Schnittker entered the westbound lanes of 75th Street and College Road where he was hit.
No citations or charges have been filed at this time as the accident remains under investigation.
