Naperville Police Arrest Two, Cite 45 In Fourth Of July Crackdown

They arrested two drunk drivers and cited 45 for not wearing seat belts in the campaign.

NAPERVILLE, IL -- Naperville Police made an extra effort to catch drunk drivers on the Fourth of July. In the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Crackdown," they made two dunk driving arrests.

“These enforcement crackdowns are vital because too many people are not heeding the message – drunk driving is deadly and illegal,” said Naperville Police Sgt. Derek Zook, according to a Naperville Police Department press release.

“Alcohol not only dangerously impairs your driving skills, it impairs your judgment. Any time you see a friend drinking alcohol, make sure they don’t plan to drive home,” Sgt. Zook said.
