Naperville Police To Host Identity Theft Forum
Naperville Police plan to share tips to prevent identity theft.

NAPERVILLE, IL — As tax season gets into gear, Naperville Police are hosting two community forums to help residents prevent identity theft. The first will be held on Feb. 12 at 6:30 at the city's Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. A second presentation will be held on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. at the 95th Street Library at 3015 Cedar Glade Dr.
According to a post on the city's website, Naperville Police will present information about the different types of identity thefts that criminals use to steal information. They will share tips and methods for protecting yourself against tax fraud and identity theft.
"Our detectives and crime prevention specialists are extremely knowledgeable on how thieves get their hands on people’s private information, and we’re eager to get this message out to residents so they can protect themselves,” Naperville Deputy Police Chief said in a statement.
