Naperville Police Investigate Armed Robbery That Occurred During A Meeting Arranged Online
Upon arrival, responding officers learned that the victim had arranged to meet the offender to sell a high-value item.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Naperville Police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Bailey Road for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, responding officers learned that the victim had arranged to meet the offender to sell a high-value item. Upon meeting, however, two subjects approached the victim on foot, displayed a handgun, grabbed the item and fled the scene in a red vehicle. No one was injured during this incident.

Suspect 1- male, 20-22 yrs. old, 5’10, 200 lbs. wearing a hooded sweatshirt,Suspect 2- male 20-22 yrs. old, 5’6”, medium build.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.
The Naperville Police Department encourages the public to utilize the Naperville Police Department as a safe location to meet and complete transactions that began online. The department’s front lobby is available for this purpose Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. When the lobby is closed, the public is encouraged to use the department’s front parking lot, where two designated parking spaces provide a well-lit, video-recorded location with access to an emergency telephone.
