Naperville Ranks 4th Highest In Illinois For DUI Arrests

NAPERVILLE, IL -- In 2016, Naperville had the 4th highest impaired driver arrest rate in Illinois, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists. The Naperville Police Department shared the results on their Facebook page on Wednesday.

"We took 312 impaired drivers off our roads last year," Naperville police said on their Facebook page. The arrests "potentially prevented countless crashes, injuries and maybe even deaths," they said.

The top three municipalities in Illinois for DUI arrests were respectively Rockford, Decatur and Elgin.

81 percent of the 700 law enforcement agencies responded. For the full results of the survey, click here.
