Naperville Residents Invited To 5th Avenue Planning Discussions

Members of the public can learn more about ideas for 5th Avenue at meetings on Sept. 19 and Oct. 1.

NAPERVILLE, IL — After months of discussion and design, the Naperville City Council is ready to move forward with next steps in the planning process to redevelop 5th Avenue. Residents are invited to attend three public meetings at which developers Ryan Companies will present a baseline concept for 5th Avenue that addresses infrastructure, green space, parking, costs, and other topics.

Ryan Companies will first present the concept at a steering committee meeting on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. to get feedback from residents. After the initial meeting, the steering committee will review the input they receive from community members and business owners in a separate public meeting on Sept. 23.

On Oct. 1, city council members will review the baseline concept for 5th Avenue as an agenda item. Residents can attend the meeting and speak publicly to offer their thoughts on the development ideas.
