Naperville Teacher Who Allegedly Sexually Abused Boy Suspended Without Pay

The teacher was formerly placed on administrative leave.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville School District 203 middle school teacher who has been accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy in her bedroom has been suspended without pay, according to District 203 Director of Communications Michelle Fregoso.

In January 2016 the district placed Christine M. Taylor, 44, of the 1100 block of Spring Garden Circle, on administrative leave and was not allowed in any District 203 schools pending the investigation. The board voted June 7 to move her to unpaid leave, Fregoso said.

According to prosecutors, Taylor, a teacher at Jefferson Middle School, had a 16-year-old boy and his mother over for pizza Jan. 1. At around 9 p.m., Taylor convinced the mom to let her and the teen walk Taylor’s dog together.

Taylor allegedly took the victim to her bedroom and sexually abused him. The boy’s mom caught Taylor in the act, according to the state’s attorney’s office.

Another person in the house contacted police, who arrived at the home shortly after.

“While the victim in this case was not a student at Jefferson Middle School, Ms. Taylor, as a teacher, still holds a position of trust in the community,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said. “It is alleged that she abused that trust to take advantage of a young boy just to satisfy her own deviant sexual desires.”

Taylor also reportedly performed sexual acts on a 22-year-old pizza delivery driver who arrived while the teen and his mother were in the house. Taylor allegedly told the mom and son that she knew the driver from a DUI class she was in.

Taylor has been on probation since 2013 for a reckless driving charge where she had a .14 BAC and her 10-year-old son was in the car.
