In 2011, Standard Market opened their first market and Standard Market Grill location in Westmont. Two years later, a standalone Standard Market Grill opened in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, offering customers a gourmet restaurant experience in a casual environment.
The Standard Market in Naperville is the third location in the Chicago area. The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Like previous Standard Market location, the Naperville location will feature local vendors and experienced chefs as well as some new innovations, including:
- STANDARD MARKET GRILL – At the heart of the Market is Standard Market Grill, a sophisticated fast-casual, 180-seat restaurant that showcases seasonal ingredients and the culinary talents of the pedigreed chef team. Menu highlights include The Smith Burger (made with local grassfed beef), Mustard-Honey Chicken Sandwich, Four Farmers Salad and fresh deck-oven fired pizzas. Meals can be paired with Standard Market Grill’s carefully curated beverage menu of cocktails, beer and wine and enjoyed in the dining room, al fresco on the patio or to-go. The Grill is open daily from 11 a.m.–9 p.m., with special weekend breakfast hours from 8 –11 a.m.
- FULL-SCALE COFFEE & TEA SHOP: Standard Market’s coffee and tea shop features local and nationally recognized coffee roasters, including Stumptown Coffee Roasters (Portland, Ore. /Brooklyn, N.Y.) as well as a rotating line-up of seasonal coffees each week. Along with coffee, Standard Market’s coffee shop features fine teas from around the world, highly trained baristas to serve every cup and a seating area for customers to sip and enjoy. The coffee bar opens at 7 a.m., an hour earlier than the market, and has fresh pastries made in-house daily by the Bakery, in addition to other grab-and-go snacks and beverages.
- CHEESE CAVE: Standard Market will bring their award winning in-house cave aged cheese to Naperville, with a glass-fronted temperature and humidity controlled aging room clearly visible to customers. At any given time, there are between 200 and 300 different cheeses in-house, including a selection of cave aged cheeses.
- “FROM-SCRATCH” BAKERY: Along with from-scratch, freshly baked breads, pastries, layer cakes, tarts and cookies, the bakery also features a full fledged confectionery complete with handmade fudge, marshmallows, chocolate bark and brittle—all easily seen through the glass window. The bakery also offers all natural buttered and cheddar popcorn that is made fresh daily. Exciting flavors such as parmesan, chipotle ranch and cinnamon sugar will also be available.
- GELATO BAR: Available by the scoop to enjoy instantly or by the pint to enjoy later, the new gelato bar will have 12 flavors, all of which are made 100% from scratch with real ingredients including cream, milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla bean. Dairy free options include coconut (made from coconut milk) and lemon sorbet. Flavors will change seasonally.
- LOCAL VENDORS & LARGER SELECTIONS: Standard Market’s new Naperville location offers many of the same local and Midwestern products as their Westmont location including Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Dreymiller & Kray bacon, Sweet Ali’s Gluten Free Bakery baked goods and the flavor by stephanie izard in addition to a larger variety of regional, national, and international products.
- MORE INDOOR & OUTDOOR SEATING: Standard Market has more indoor seating as well as additional outdoor seating adjoining the CUBE, their wine, beer & cheese bar, which features an expanded gastropub menu and 12 beers on tap.
