Naperville's First Medical Marijuana Facility Opens to Public Feb. 4

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 29.

Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico will head a group of elected officials for the Jan. 29 ribbon cutting ceremony of the 3C Medical Marijuana dispensary located at 1700 Quincy Ave. The event, scheduled for 2 p.m. will be followed by an open house for the public to view the Naperville facility.

The dispensary is owned by retired Judge Robert Livas, his daughter Traci and her husband Hugo Fernandez. Traci was left paralyzed after being stricken by transverse myelitis and 3C plans to donate 20 percent of all profits to the United Paralysis Foundation.

3C has already opened a facility in Joliet and has successfully treated over 200 patients. The Naperville 3C Dispensary will be open for business the following week at 11 a.m. Feb. 4.
