Naperville's India Day Brings Parade, Live Music, Fireworks
The festival will celebrate the anniversary of India's independence with live music, traditional food, a parade, and fireworks.
NAPERVILLE, IL -- Naperville's India Day celebration will bring live music, traditional Indian cuisine, fireworks, and more to Knoch Park to celebrate the country's independence from Britain. The Aug. 11 event features free admission to all exhibits and shows, including a musical performance by Bollywood singer Sunidi Chauhan.
This year marks the fifth year for Naperville's India Day celebration and parade. Since 2015, the festival has drawn thousands of attendees from in and around Naperville and beyond.
The all-day festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the parade stepping off at 4 p.m. and fireworks after dusk. Throughout the day, you can take in traditional Indian dance performances, buy Indian-made art and fashion, and learn about Indian history and culture.
