NCTV17's Liz Spencer Honored by Rotary Club of Naperville
NCTV17's Elizabeth Spencer receives Rotary's Paul Harris Fellow Award for Service

The Rotary Club of Naperville recognized Elizabeth Spencer, Executive Director of Naperville Community Television (NCTV17) and 9 other community members with Paul Harris Fellow Awards for Service.
The Paul Harris Fellow Award is the highest recognition that Rotary bestows on individuals who exemplify the motto “Service Above Self.” The Club honors individuals who have made a positive, lasting change in the quality of life in communities at home and abroad and have shown leadership in volunteer service.
Spencer received the award for Community Service (Vocational Service) for keeping NCTV17 involved in the community through local events, school district activities, Chamber involvement and inspired leadership.

Liz Spencer arrived at NCTV17 in 2002. Since then, she has used her Emmy award-winning TV background to transform a small local cable-access station into a true local not- for-profit television station. In addition to growing NCTV17, Spencer is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of broadcast professionals. Spencer has expanded NCTV17’s highly regarded internship program and also serves as Adjunct Faculty at North Central College where she teaches television production.
Along with Spencer, The Rotary Club of Naperville also recognized Vicki Coletta, Kent Duncan, Karen Garlough, Mike Havala, Dr. Jeff Grimley, Al Carrius, Jen Fitzsimmons, Beverly Patterson Frier, and Tim Wierenga.
