North Central Celebrates International Education Week

A new art installation celebrating International Education Week is now on display at North Central College’s School of Business and Entrepreneurship (40 N. Brainard St.). International Education Week will be observed November 14-18 and is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of global education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and to attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.

The visual art installation is a result of a partnership between the College’s Center for Global Education and is designed by students in the Design Agency course, which is led by Hale Ekinci, associate professor and chairperson of art and design at North Central College. The installation features photos and quotes from the campus community, as well as facts about international education. The display is a chance for the campus community and public to learn more about the international opportunities available across the College and around the world.

Members of the public are invited to an Opening Reception on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 4:30-6:30 p.m., which will include keynote remarks from North Central College’s Interim President Dr. Donna Carrol at 4:30 p.m.
