Jeffery Keck
Age 75, of Diamond, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 with his family at his side.

He was born on June 20, 1950, the son of the late Helen (Mantel) and William "Bill" Keck. He grew up in Joliet, Illinois, and was proud to be a graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy, Class of 1968.
A skilled tradesman, Jeff began his career as a carpenter with Carpenters Local 174. Later, he transitioned into the insurance field, working as a licensed agent with Farmers Insurance in Lockport until his retirement in 2018. Jeff was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the relationships he built with clients and colleagues alike.

Jeff had a lifelong passion for music, especially Elvis Presley. He was a lover of history and could often be found reading or researching historical events. Jeff also enjoyed golfing and taking trips to Las Vegas, where he combined his love for fun, travel, and chance.
Jeff’s wit, loyalty, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Janice "Janie" (nee Valiente); loving children, Terri (Tony) Horwath, Brian (Tricia Tunney) Keck, Marcy Cardenas, and John (Jenn) Endrst; dear grandchildren, Lindsey (Joe) Castleman, Sydney (Chris) Aleaga, Alyssa Horwath, Ava and Brennan Keck, Alaina Cardenas, Rylee and Ryan Endrst; adoring great-grandchildren, Brody and Hayley Castleman; dear sister, Betty (Dan) Horschler; and dear brother, Randy Keck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Terrie Keck; and brother, David Keck.
Visitation for Jeffery Keck will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd) Joliet. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
