Parents Of Naperville Teen Accused Of Sex Abuse Deny Liability

The 19-year-old is accused of getting a girl intoxicated, breaking an egg over her head and sexually abusing her.

NAPERVILLE, IL —The parents of a 19-year-old Naperville man who is facing accusations of sex abuse are contending that they are not liable for his alleged behavior. The lawsuit asserts that Michael and Angel Herzberger, were negligent when their son,Matthew, allegedly used alcohol to get a girl intoxicated before breaking an egg on her head, rubbing condiments on her, and abusing her sexually, Herald News reports.

Matthew Herzenberger is accused of giving the girl victim alcohol on Dec. 18, 2017, before taking her clothes off and photographing her while she was unconscious. He then allegedly drove her to the home of one of his friends and left her there.

Herzenberger's parents assert that they are not responsible for his alleged actions and are asking for the allegations of liability against them to be dismissed. They also say they were not present when Herzenberger allegedly abused the girl.
