“Pennies for Pies” Drive to Benefit Loaves & Fishes

Naperville Park District invites donations from the community Nov. 1-16

The Naperville Park District will hold its 12th annual “Pennies for Pies” drive from November 1-16 to help provide pumpkin pies for holiday meals through Naperville’s Loaves & Fishes Community Services .

Residents and visitors to Park District facilities are encouraged to donate small change (or make larger donations) that will be used to purchase pumpkin pies to benefit Loaves & Fishes’ Thanksgiving dinner initiative for residents in need. Donations will be accepted at the following locations:

  • Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Dr. (Open M-F: 5:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., Sat.: 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Sun.: 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.)
  • 95th Street Center, 2244 West 95th Street, 2nd floor (Open M-F: 8:30a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
  • Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Rd. (Open M-F: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Sat.: 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Sun.: 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.)

“Every year it is a thrill for Loaves & Fishes to help the Naperville Park District staff unload hundreds of pies onto our shelves,” said Cary Gilkey, Loaves & Fishes Vice President of Operations. “It is a pleasure to provide these fresh pies the next day as families visit our market for their Thanksgiving holiday meals.”
