Phil Lawler Foundation donates $20,000 to Edward Cancer Center

On October 28, the Phil Lawler Batting 4 A Cure Foundation presented a $20,000 check to the Edward Foundation to be used for Edward Cancer Center patient programs and services. The Lawler family formed the Foundation in memory of their father, Phil Lawler, a Naperville Central High School baseball coach, physical education teacher and children’s fitness advocate, who died of cancer in 2010. The donation to the Cancer Center was made as a result of funds raised at the Lawler Foundation’s fourth annual charity golf outing on September 24 at Tamarack Golf Club in Naperville.
