Pregnant Woman's Wedding Rings Stolen At Gunpoint In Naperville: Report

The woman said the robbery happened in broad daylight in a Naperville parking lot.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A woman took to social media on Tuesday to warn others after she said she was robbed at gunpoint in a Naperville parking lot. In a now-deleted Facebook post, the woman said the gun-wielding thief made off with her wedding rings as well as her wallet. The woman said the robbery happened in a parking lot near 95th Street and Route 59.

The incident happened during the afternoon in a Jewel-Osco parking lot, the woman, who is reportedly pregnant, told ABC-7. She told the outlet, "I felt something hard in my back and a voice saying, 'Give me your wallet and your wedding ring.'" The woman said she was too fearful to turn around and look at her assailant but reportedly saw two male suspects driving off in a maroon car.

Naperville police told ABC they are investigating the report and are reviewing surveillance video from the grocery store parking lot. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
