Rash Of Car Burglaries In Naperville: Men Caught With Stolen Car
Police say several cars were burglarized between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two men were caught with a stolen car in an ongoing investigation by police in Naperville into a string of car burglaries. Maurice K. Boyd, 20, and Zachary T. Davis, both of Chicago, were arrested in connection with the theft and burglaries during an incident Tuesday, in which police and witnesses say they spotted several other suspects.
According to police, a resident in the 500 block of Apple River Dr. made a 911 call to report that they saw a suspect who looked like they were trying to get into a neighbor's car.
When police arrived at the scene, they say they saw "several individuals on foot in the area." As they investigated the burglary, police spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Chicago.

Police took Boyd and Davis into custody and they have been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and criminal trespass to a motor vehicle.
Several other burglaries were reported in Naperville on Sept. 4 and the days leading up to the arrest of Boyd and Davis, according to police. They are conducting an ongoing investigation into these burglaries.

Naperville Police are asking anyone with information or whose car was burglarized between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4 to contact Detective Julie Lardino at 630-420-8488. The police department has some items that were recovered from the aforementioned burglaries.
Police also remind residents to keep their cars locked and their valuables out of sight.
