Rideshare Driver Robbed At Knifepoint In Naperville: Cops
Police say the suspects robbed the driver after they were unable to pay their fare.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A rideshare driver was robbed at knifepoint in the 100 block of Testa Drive in Naperville, according to a news release. The incident took place Saturday around 8:30 p.m. while the victim was meeting with someone about a fare that was left unpaid, police say.
Police say more suspects approached the victim on foot, one of whom was carrying a knife. The suspects stole two cellphones and a purse during the robbery, according to Naperville police. Police say they got to the scene and canvassed the area, but were unable to find any suspects.
