NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville residents are encouraged to complete a questionnaire to share their feedback and suggestions as the city and park district consider improvements to the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion.

Located on Sindt Court near the Naperville Jaycees Playground, the 3,200 square foot park offers seating for 270 people with access to grills, electricity and bathrooms. It's been a popular site for parties and other special events. An update from the city said the lawn surrounding the pavilion has degraded due to heavy use since the pavilion was built in 1987.

“Many people have fond memories at the Grand Pavilion, including weddings, reunions, corporate team building events, and much more,” Jan Erickson, chair of the Naperville Riverwalk Commission, said in a statement.

Erickson added, “While construction wouldn’t begin for several years, knowing what areas to focus on will help guide this project. We understand that the space has limited parking and there are drainage issues. Our goal is to have a more useful and vibrant pavilion.”

Residents can follow the link to complete the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion questionnaire, which is open through Oct. 9.
