'The Road To Freedom' To Honor Martin Luther King, Jr., In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Public Library will host "The Road to Freedom" on Jan. 12, featuring images taken by photographer Bernard Kleina during Martin Luther King, Jr.'s visits to and marches in Chicago.

Kleina will be on hand to talk about the photographs and discuss the political and social scene that set the stage for King's initiatives in Chicago. The event comes ahead of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which falls on Jan. 16 this year.

The Jan. 12 exhibit will be presented jointly by the Wheaton League of Women Voters and the city's Community Relations Commission.
