Several Naperville Elementary, Middle Schools Ranked Among Best in State

Naperville schools received high ranks by Niche, which recently released its 2015 K-12 rankings.

Niche ranks more than 100,000 public and private schools and districts based on dozens of statistics and 27 million opinions from 300,000 students and parents. A full explanation on how Niche evaluates schools can be found on the organization’s website.

In total, six Naperville middle schools and six Naperville elementary schools were ranked among the top 10 schools in the state.

The top Naperville elementary schools received the following rankings:

• No. 2: River Woods Elementary School
• No. 4: May Watts Elementary School
• No. 5: Owen Elementary School
• No. 6: Arlene Welch Elementary School
• No. 7: Danielle-Joy Peterson Elementary School
• No. 9: Highlands Elementary School

Several more were ranked among the top 20 best elementary schools in the state (visit the Niche website for the full list).

Here is a look at Naperville middle schools with the highest rankings in the state:

• No. 1: Gordon Gregory Middle School
• No. 2: Scullen Middle School
• No. 4: Madison Junior High School
• No. 6: Washington Junior High School
• No. 7: Clifford Crone Middle School
• No. 9: Thayer J. Hill Middle School

Neuqua Valley High School received a ranking of 11th in the state and Naperville Central High School was ranked 16th in the state. Meanwhile, Indian Prairie Community Unit School District 204 was ranked fifth in the state and Naperville Community Unit School District 203 was ranked sixth in the state among the best districts.

The rankings also look at schools with the “Best Teachers,” “Best Food,” “Best Sports,” ”Best Academics” and more.
