Shakou Opens 5th Location In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL -- Shakou is celebrating the opening of its newest location, which first welcomed Naperville diners on Wednesday. The new eatery, located at 22 E. Chicago Ave., marks the fifth for the popular sushi spot.

Shakou's extensive sushi list includes both traditional and signature maki and nigiri. Signature rolls range from the niku niku, a combination of New York strip steak, tuna, avocado, and greens, to the crunch melt, which wraps tempura shrimp with cucumber, avocado, and cream cheese, and tops it with mozzarella.

If you're dining with a big party, consider splitting a sushi boat, which brings a variety of rolls to your table atop a small wooden plate shaped like a boat.

Shakou's menu features both hot and cold appetizers, along with a variety of entrees. Some popular picks include Adobo-seasoned Australian sea bass and sweet and chili chicken katsu.

The interior of Shakou leaves as much of an impact as its food does. Known for combining elegance and modernity, the restaurant's Naperville location is lit by glass chandeliers and accented with sleek gray and blue decor.

Shakou isn't just for dining, either. Its drink menu brims with nearly a dozen signature martinis, inventive mojitos and craft cocktails, and a variety of sake.
