SHARE hosts 14th annual "A Walk to Remember"

Three-year-old Tycen Lindstrom of Ottawa takes part in the 14th annual "A Walk to Remember" on Oct. 13 in Naperville.

More than 1,000 people took part in SHARE’s 14th Annual “A Walk to Remember” on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in downtown Naperville.

SHARE is a support group funded by the Edward Foundation for those who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or neonatal death. The event featured a memorial service in which the names of 310 babies were read, followed by a one-and-a-half mile walk.

Walk proceeds support SHARE’s counseling services, bereavement training and education, and the Wings of Hope Angel Garden at Edward Hospital, an outdoor space that was designed as a place where grieving parents can seek peace and comfort, as well as memorialize their child.
